If you have ever been to the mountains you would most certaintly want to go back and admire the snowy mountain peaks again and again. If even thinking about mountains makes you happy the time has come for you to explore the tracks and paths of the Caucasus mountains.
Pick any days you like, from June through October
Day 1
Arrival from Tbilisi to Roshka, and a hike to the Abudelauri Lakes. These three lakes - Green, Blue, and White - are located 2500 m (8202 ft.) above sea level.
Rest, dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 2
Sunrise in the mountains, breakfast.
A hike from the lakes to Chauki and onward though the mountain pass Uta (3350 m above sea level). Sunset in the mountains.
Rest, dinner and overnight in tents.
Day 3
Breakfast.
A hike to Uta settlement and then a drive by car to Stepatsminda. A hike from there to Sabertse (3500 m (11483 ft.) above sea level).
Overnight in tents.
Day 4
Breakfast.
A hike to the old observatory station, Betlemi hut (located 3650 m above sea level). A hike back to Stepatsminda.
Return to Tbilisi.
The drive from Tbilisi takes about 2.5-3 hours.
